Got 2017 x1 with 74000 miles driven carefully turbo blown not sure if I've engine damage got quote for 3600 as it dual turbo nd that's no fitted is this worth saving...any advice.

That number sounds like a BMW Dealer quote ? Who diagnosed the fault ? What engine ?

Remember BMW don't make Turbo Chargers they buy them in. If you haven't already talk to a Turbo specialist, well more than one so you get a good comparison on cost/warranty etc.

Engine damage will occur if the turbine on the inlet disintegrates sending debris into the engine iif your lucky it will be the exhaust turbine thats gone

I'll get a second opinion 2litre diesel he did say good chance engine damage due to oil loss

A loss of oil isn't good depends how long the engine was driven with low oil?
