X5 3.0 si 2007 E52K Parts Online?
Hi. I would have no issues using second hand parts as long as they are straight and clean. where are you based? Check realoem and put your vin number in to get part numbers for the pan, then eBay or the likes.. in the Uk, I use quarry motors for most of my bits. I’m sure they would post worldwide if needed. good luck -

Battery Discharge 650i
Hi bud. the easy way to tell is to put your mobile phone on record and leave it in there. … I would assume the switch is on the inside of the clip, the female part in the dash, rather than the male section on the door, there would have to be wires to it so it wouldn’t be on a hinged door. How quick does it drain the battery? how are you checking the amps on the battery? -

X5 3.0 si 2007 E52K Parts Online?
BMW 2007 X5 3.0si, N70, E52K engine. My mechanic needs to do a gasket replacement and wants to change out the oil pan. His official prices for parts seem high. Any suggestions on websites where I can source OEM parts at a lower price? Any harm in using second hand parts? For instance, the official cost for new moonroof actuator/motor was $800. I found an OEM eBay used replacement for $35. Works fine. -

Battery Discharge 650i
HI all, I have been suffering a slow discharge from the battery which has resulted in low cranking amps. Car isn't doing that many miles so put it down to low charging so set up a regular charge up practice. I think something is drawing on the battery. After a closer inspection I think it is the glove box light...why? I am assuming the glove box light is activated when the opener is released and the two sprung clips release from the bars located in the opening part. I am assuming this as I can't see any other sprung clip that activates the glove box light. However, when I press these sprung clips in by hand, either together or separately, the light stays on. This would explain why I am experiencing this slow draw on the battery. Does this sound correct or is there some other sensor that controls the light on/off in the glove box. Seems my only solution would be to remove the bulb in the glove box which is no big deal.
