2025 M4 Base Order
Morning Steve Welcome to the Forum From what I read BMW are not the only manufacturer who have extended and erratic Delivery schedules apparently due to componenet supply. Maybe write to the Supplying Dealer and tell them if they cannot give a sensible delivery date that you will cancel and go elsewhere (Merc/ Audi) bit of a Bluff but it may focus their attention. Just my thoughts Hope the New Year brings good news Dave -

Instrument cluster suddenly died
How about a Computer/Mobile Phone repairer ? I would also try and source a replacement cluster from a BMW Recycler if one can be found it will need registering to the car as BMW record mileage in two places one of them being the cluster. Dave -

2025 M4 Base Order
Has anyone recently ordered an M4 Base 6 speed manual? I am still waiting for a dealer allocation. Started the process on November 11th. I was just curious about how long it may have taken you until delivery. -

Instrument cluster suddenly died
This fault seems similar to what I've expirienced with the 1989 525i.My auto electrician friend thinks the board is powered by an independent small battery but does not know where it is located. Does anyone have any idea ? I've contacted Greydog a few weeks ago about this and although his advise was helpful, the firms did not get involved with older cars. Many thanks in anticipation of any suggestions. -

BMW 2 Series
As of last month, my first BMW. A G42 2025 M240ix, Skyscraper Grey. Just an old dude having a late mid-life crisis looking for some fun and excitement on the road. I did not enjoy the 75 day wait after placing the order. I know it's subjective, but I'm trying to protect and add to the car with ideas from family, friends,etc. I initially gave the car the full Xpel protection treatment. XR+ tint, full body Ultimate Plus PPF and Fushion Plus ceramic coating. Also installed reflector deletes and carbon fiber door sills. They will be installing the full interior PPF kit when templates becomes available. Also wanted to mention the floor mats on the car. Bought the complete set, including the trunk from TuxMat. Bar none, the best I've ever had for a car. Next came the performance parts. I had a Dinan carbon fiber cold air intake and inlet pipe put on the engine. Also installed their throttle booster and exhaust controller. Last was replacing the stock spoiler (meh) with the TRE ID-01 carbon fiber spoiler. The new intake made a small improvement in sound. Throttle Booster was a bigger surprise than expected. Exhaust controller not so much. Early next year looking to further enhance the exhaust notes. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The AA down pipe looks and sounds great. Due to possible warranty issues down the road, I may wait on that a bit. May initially start with the Dinan axel back exhaust? -
