Hi Edward

Never had this issue to dealwith but I did read on one of the US Forums some time ago where someone had exactly the  same issue battery disconnected and boor accidently closed.

The solution is to apply 12V+ to Pin #12 of X14270 at the Junction box connector (Grey Green wire) this will operate the latch only. It is safe even if the Positive battery terminal IS in contact with ground, as power is ONLY applied directly to the latch, and NOT to the B+ terminal. Of course you have to ground your external 12V or 9V power source to chassis. The poster from memory didnt release the connector (which should be the large 47 pin one) he located the Grey/green wire and stuck a pin through the insulation then touched an external battery live to the pin with earth to the cars chassis.

      Morning Paul Try some good electrical contact cleaner at all connections. Before you start changing parts try talking to ECU Testing or Cartronix they both have great reputations and offer a fast turn around if it is a dry joint in the ECU or similar that they can fix it will save changing the ECU and CAS with some of the issues that can raise Good Luck Dave
