iX3 acceleration causing accidents
I have a 2 year old iX3. On 2 occasions now I have been moving into a parking slot and as I release the brake, the car has accelerated forward causing damage. The first time I thought it was something I had done but it happened again this week. The car shot forward into a tree and I guess there is a good few thousand £s of damage. I am sure I didnt hit the accelerator. Apart from the impact on getting the car repaired, increase in insurance premiums, so far no person has been involved. This problem has serious potential to injure or kill. I have decided I wont drive this vehicle again. Is anyone on the forum aware of this problem? -

Morning Bikash Welcome to the Forum First scan the car to see if there is a fault registered the reset process will not work unles the fault is cleared. If a fault si there clear it and go through the reset process. As said I had a cable not releasing at the hub end cleaned and lubricated Check the fuses in the boot there is a 5amp fuse mine was OK my Brother inlaws fuse was blown replaced no more problems Obviously occasionally a unit fails and it will need changing Good Luck Dave -

A paddling pool in the rear of my 08 reg 635d Convertible !!
Hi Dave. Yes,at last and hopefully it will stay dry. I have just had the car washed and dryed at a local hand wash - car wash and hopefully that will produce a good result for my pension money investment towards keeping the car !! As they say "Watch this space"😁 -
