Hi all…. Yet another headache!

the starter motor has decided to pack up on the e53.
anyone had to do this job? How easy is it? What should I expect? Should I just give it to a garage?
I have a jack and axle stands…. And not a lot of time as usual….

any tips and tricks will be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Morning Stu

The old girl isn't being very helpful at the moment is she 😄 Starter is a an absolute Faff to get at requiring some really long extensions did a couple back in the mid 2000's much easier if you can get access to a lift.

Cold weather coming maybe let the wallet take the strain 😅

I stand corrected….  It wasn’t the starter. I could hear it clicking so checked the battery, amps were about 10… new battery and fired straight up…. So much for Halfords and yuasa battery testing!

….now to the next issue…
