Hello one and all.

I have a 2019 118d auto m sport F40 series, the issue I am getting is when I put my foot down sometimes I get a vibration and the engine misses a bit, it’s been serviced, im not getting any engine fault codes when plugged into the car, any suggestions?

Have you tried dpf cleaner?

it could be something like a blocked manifold?
my parents (non bmw)  has just been serviced and now the turbo actuator has failed. Stripping it down, the manifold and all the inlet pipes were so clogged up it was choking itself.

my petrol x5 has been jumping and stuttering and it looks like a failed throttle body.
mine usually drops into fail safe mode, but sometimes a quick stutter and it’s off again.

maybe worth trying the dpf cleaner route before anything else?

Hello, yes I have tried the dpf cleaner, and I ran the Carly dpf option last week on an 4 hour motorway drive  and it ran for 30 mins and the soot was 2.0. I have had the car serviced and it’s still doing it, my first thought was the dpf or egr valve, where I live it’s all back windy welsh roads heading to anywhere so it does not really get a good run regularly.

Morning Darren

Living in the land of 20mph speed limits certainly isnt going to help, to get the Soot burned off even though you have triggered it with Carly will need a bit of Help. Engine revs need to be at around 3000rpm Engine needs all Glow Plugs working as they are used to achieve high combustion temperatures, if 1 is not working the Regen Cycle may not work.

Hope this helps

Thanks I’ll try again , I’ll fill the car up and add another dpf cleaner and try the regenerative process again.

thanks
