Well….. all I can say is, if the oil leaks onto the ground and you drive forward… then new tyres ain’t gonna do much good! 
get the oil leaks fixed first, save your engine from blowing up, save money on replacing oil and then get new tyres.

      Garage recommendation, Essex

      So, Chris kindly did CarPlay activation for me late on Friday evening (19:00!) while I waited. Didn’t work initially, he said it can sometimes need to be turned off and locked for a while. Next time I drive reboots it pulls in coding. Got home, had a beer and then returned outside after another beer or two & retried. CarPlay working as expected. Only thing that doesn’t work is screen mirroring. According to many online, IPhone doesn’t support this feature sadly, only android. Must say, although BMW maps are upto date, the nav is a bit woeful (took me down a dead end) it’s nice to have Google maps and/or waze.

      Hi Paul How disappointing You would think that is not to risky for a Dealer to set up a test to trigger the visual and audible warnings even if they consider automatic brake testing dangerous Dave

      Thanks again but have done this also. BMW UK are all non technical staff, one young operator doesn't even drive a car so had no idea what I was talking about. All BMW UK can do is book me into a dealer but I have done this twice now but Dealer only plugs it into computer to look for faults which is ridiculous. Probably need someone on the forum who can describe when they are getting any warnings. I understand there should be a visual warning (red car symbol) at around 8 car lengths if parameters for a collision are met (no brakes or steering input). Audible warning at about 4 lengths followed by brake priming then auto brake activation.
