Dashboard lights delay

Hi all,
Could someone tell me if there is a way to turn off the delay for the dashboard lights when I turn off the ignition.  I read somewhere that if you turn the stop start on then off again after you have turned the ignition off that could do it, sadly it didn’t. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks, Jackie
