Hey fella it is possible but usually quite expensive to add later on. The wiring should already be there its a case of purchasing the electric mirrors and the switches and plugging them in.

No worries fella might be a good idea to get a set on e-bay or a scrap yard as from BMW them selves would cost a fortune

would also get a spray shop to get the colour matching done as rattle cans never do the job properly lol

Had a thought about the mirrors and may not have explained myself properly. The door mirrors I have are electrically operated and heated, but what I want to do is get them to fold in electrically. Does that make any more sense or an I being a total div?

do you mean when you turn off the engine the mirrors fold automatically?

No by a switch on the door.

In the owners manual it shows the location that the switch would be if it were fitted. I just wondered whether BMW would have wired to this point anyway so to pick up a switch may be all thats needed at that end and as the car is fitted with electrically heated and adjusted door mirrors whether the motors in the door mirrors 'might' already be fitted to enable the folding as well?

Probably wishfull thinking!!

I would imagine the wiring would exsist but the motor in the mirrors may not exsist.

Sorry i cant be precise as I have never done it before.

Id quite confidently say that the motors wont exist in the current mirrors, and you cant add them to the current mirrors. The motors are usually moulded in so that they cannot be added later, whole new mirror assembly needed sadly

cabling will be there but new mirrors needed sadly
