ever since my battery died and i recharged it my windscreen wipers intermitedly (sp?) stay on, ive messed about with the wiper stalk but they wont stop

any ideas?

Relay at a guess

If it is the relay, yeah they wont work when removed and you can just replace it.

I was thinking earlier, I dont think it is the relay, as there has to be power to the relay for it to work.

What im saying is, if its switched off at the stalk, and there still on, it wont be the relay, it will either be a switch problem in the stalk

or a wiring problem between the stalk and relay.

Or a computer problem.

Just want to say, not to scare you...

I took a battery off a Iveco van not so long back to start another vehical. When i put it back on the window wipers and washer jets were constantly on.

This was diagnosed as a ECU problem...

ECU probs, hmmm had plenty of them on the megane!!! im sure it will be something stupid

problem all fixed

took the battery off and gave it a good charge (24 hrs)

all sorted, so putting it down to not having enough electric in the battery which the car was kinda telling me about, if only i new that in the first place!

anyway, all fixed
