alright boys and girls

all i want to know from the people who service their own vehicles, where do you generally tend to buy your engine / gearbox / final drive oil and filters etc etc from??

what oil is best suited to my 2.8 E36? i popped in halfords, and the chart suggests either 10/40 semi synth, or mobil 5/40 fully synth

what do you guys suggest?

i get all my bits from a motor factors, luckily my mates a mechanic and gets its a bit cheaper for me B)

local motorfactors should be able to help I tend to stray away from Halifrauds as much as possible

yep, there will be a few motor factors around, mainly on trading estates. Much cheaper

Motor factors all the way mate, never had a problem with them.

I service my own car but then i work for a company with a service centre and can get my parts at trade price which helps,

Either of those oils will do i tend to use shell oil its one of the best.

Your local motor factor is your best bet, halfords are ok but tend to be pricey tbh
