Welcome along mate,

Nice looking car you have there.

Cheers guys, I know quite a bit about E36s and a few other models so I'll try and contribute as much as possible.

Didn't completely understand that Andy - it looks good without, but put the numberplate where it should be? The blanking plate is the style thing and the numberplate behind the windscreen is to attempt to stay legal - had it there for half a year and not been stopped by police - yet?

LOL it's all good they haven't looked twice!

It's only for the non M-Tec bumper mate, the blanker for your front bumper should be roughly the same price though from a dealer - but good luck! The one in Luton's rubbish for blanking trims! Should be alright for you with the M-Bumper though if you're after one?

I once put a normal plate on the bottom trim on a Grandad mk2 2.8 using a piano hinge... Looked normal when stood, disappeared when driving lol

Thanks for the comments guys, unfortunately I'm keeping it as is - I'm not moving the plate unless I need to - But I appreciate the feedback anyway.

The car currently is on the original 16" Style 30 Alloys as I'm polishing the lips of the Contours - after which I'll change the tires as they're very low.
