Hi just joined and was wandering if someone could help me.My e36 compact sport has random miss fires, when ticking over its a little low and lumpy which is the worst of it, once your moving its not to bad just the occational slight splutter or if your just resting your foot on the throttle its not to happy.I took it to the garage and they tried some new plugs and put it on the computer which came up with random miss fires on 1 3 and 4.The plugs did not do a thing and they said it may be the coil pack,so i sourced a used one which had been 'tried and tested' and no change.Do i have to have the faults cleared before i put the new one on as i disconnected the battery and that did nothing.Any ideas please as its starting to where thin on me. Thanks
