Currently negotiating a new contract for work, And as a treat will be buying myself as an X5, New to Bmw ownership. So looking for advice and tips from people in the know. I'm looking at a 2002-2005 model 4.4I. I'm just looking for things that can and do go wrong. Wat like are prices for parts etc. Is working on them a huge headache like Audi's or are they straight forward,

Again looking for advice and opinions, All greatly appreciated

Thanks Chris

This is why am on here, not came across a 4.6 in my hunt, Petrol aint an issue, It'll cost about £25 to fill it. Whats the difference in performance with the 4.6??? You got me curious now. Will go have a hunt and see what i can find out, my only issue is with the Autobox. Never owned an auto i haven't blown up, But then we are talking old jap cars when i was younger such as 300zx etc and Mazda Xedos. Should be fine in a BM.

Also if the AFm is new then i'd go onto Ebay order a hose kit get cutting and replace them all, My mate had a VW passat, We would never have found the pin hole in 1pipe. Dig in and get ur hands dirty :)

Thanks for the welcome

Well am guessing it'll be £25 as it's £22 to fill a RR sport from empty. Am from Glasgow Originally but moved abroad a cpl years ago, The clue is in the name, I think right now, We pay 18p a litre give or take. i used to run a 4.4v8 lexus in the uk and it was £1.09 a litre then not fun at all. Will go have a scout for info on the 4.6... Miss Ebay so much!!!!!!!!!

Yer i don't miss paying £1.30+ a litre for fuel in the slightest, Miss the rain though we only get a cpl of hours every year. And sand gets everywhere haha

Whats his name?? aint Andy is it? I know a few boys that work there. Yer i cant complain about my life here it works well for me. I have a 20hr week. I just picked up another 6hrs a week at another place and thats seriously put some more cash in my pocket every month. So the M5 will soon be replaced if all keeps going.

Arabs dont bother me in the slightest. Like everywhere everyone only hears the worst, Some of my arab friends are salt of the earth and am pleased i have met them. Oz is ok apart from the cripplin tax system they have in place now. And am sorry i'd rather socialise with Arabs than Yanks fook me spend sometime with them and you'll see what i mean and sadly america is full of them :(.
