Hi guys,

As you would be aware by reading my posts, I've been stripping my M20 down and I've just got the cylinder head back from the engineering place after a pressure test. the Hex-Bolt that snapped off had fired down through the cylinder head it's self and made a hole in it. Cylinder head is a right off. In all honesty, I don't know what to do..

I contemplating a new engine. I have found this H23 Hartge 2.3ltr M20 from an E21 online. Can anyone tell me if this will fit with my current standard transmission? And if so, Will I encounter any problems actually getting it in there?

That REALLY is bad news Daz... I was right about the bolts but i wouldn't have thought of that much damage unless they were shot for quite a while !!

what about a recon head?

I'm waiting on a few quotes for a recon head. What do you think of the Hartge engine? It came out of an E21 3 series but that shouldn't really matter right?

I suppose if you get the ECU with the engine, then there should be no probs, eh?
