Moral of the story, ALWAYS clean your OWN cylinder head before taking it to be tested and not be a lazy eejit like Me. It will cost you £85 in idiot tax

After calling around 12 companies (one turning out to be an agricultural farm machinery repairer in Scotland :S) I have onyl had ONE reply to my calls via a later Email. This is what I got back:

Hi Darren, thanks for the enquiry regarding a replacement cylinder head for your BMW 520i 2.0 12v MPi M20 731. We can supply a fully remanufactured cylinder head, fully assembled ready for fitting from stock at £345 + £24 (carriage/overnight delivery) + VAT. All our remanufactured cylinder heads are sold on a service exchange basis (no surcharge) and carry a twelve months unlimited mileage parts and labour warranty.
