Raise the back-end and notice the cables separate across the axle setup... There will be a screw-adjuster on each side and they will screw-out about 3-4 inch... Unscrew half a turn and spin a wheel... Repeat this until you feel restriction and then screw back-in half a turn and TEST it in driving conditions...

Don't be fooled that BMW handbrakes should be the best as they are definately not mate...

My car has a broken adjuster and feels weak but still passed MOT @100, You should not need to replace the shoes as they don't work hard enough and WILL last the life of your car !!!

2 individual cables all the way to the lever on the 320d.
