Want to start slowly Modifying my compact

and have a few quick questions.

It suffers from a dated interior and have been looking at a leather replacement... Will compact interiors fit or can coupe ones also fit? or the e46 ones and are they straight forward to fit?

I want to lower the car too as it looks too high for my liking, i want it to sit LOW but not TOO LOW lol was looking at 60mm all round... will that rub? i have 17s on it atm or is 40mm enough?... will get round to doing the shocks too but funds are tight atm.

also want a nice set of angle eyes... you get horrible projector ones etc but i still want the car to look original, are they expensive/hard to install?

Thanks

40mm is plenty.. any lower and the tyres will rub against your ears !!!

Make sure you do 40m at the rear and 60m at the front cos beemers sit higher at the front,I found this out the hard way.You can also pick up a set of coilovers nowadays for between 150-200 quid, which is cheap as chips really,Im saving for mine now ;) Not sure about the interior but Id def go for a set of leathers :)

Totally in agreement with you, Dave... Be careful not to fall into the fact that the front arches are larger and tyre/wheel choices will have to be made for the 60mm drop ! (just adding matey)

I looked into fitting some angel eyes to my 740 and may well do it in the spring I had a look at this site and it would appear that it means almost stripping the headlights down to component parts and I'm not sure I want to do that

Its not that I'm not confident when it comes to things like this but I'm a great advocate of the good old saying "if it aint broke, dont fix it"

So I am now looking for a set of xenon headlights on ebay so I can tinker to my hearts content and get it done right without leaving my pride and joy with no lights if things go wrong..
