This morning I asked for any info on a 1.4 Megane engine swap over on meganeownersclub.co.uk?

Asked all the usual questions, asked if they could point me in the direction of how to's, guides and sourcing a replacement engine locally.

Now they have over 30k members, not 1 answer yet!

How long, on average do you have to wait for a question to be answered on this forum?

And are the answers usually helpful?

Cannot answer for the Megane site, but civinfo(Honda), UKHCC(Hyundai Coupe) and this site are very helpful and get quick replies, maybe the Megane owners are taking their cars to the garage or trying to repair them, which is why you have not received an answer, maybe could be quicker if you google the question, good luck. :D

Google was my first point to call at..

Maybe no one bothers with changing engines because Renaults are crap lol

I can't belive 30k people have actualy bought a french poo and no reply is due to the fact their all to embarrassed to admit it :-)

I'll have t agree with you there.

Going to start stripping the Meg on Monday, see what damage has bee done before buying new engine.

I think I will enjoy braking it to bits biggrin.gif

But, not if, but when I get new engine in and it starts, The self satisfaction will be immense I think...as Im a complete novice!

Then it can be sold and she is having a BMW next...dont care how much she kicks and screams.
