Hi guys, thought id give this site a go, was on e46 fanatics, have posted 3 topics and not a single hi or answer.

bought my first bm about a month ago, was al japanese before, sold my starlet glanza v turbo and swopped for 318ci coupe. and i love it!

one ov the sensore on the back has gone, the sensors arnt the ones set straight into the bumper, all foyur are housed by a black plastic sort of vent/grill looking thing,. does this just pop off to get the sensors out?

Welcome Chris, I am sure you will get an answer to your problem, is the sensor an after kit? a picture might make it easier to resolve the your problem, good luck. :D

Hey, yep its the pre-facelift one, the sensors are bmw ones, not an add on. Did the tp.icking noise test, and all seem to tick when its i reverse. Fuse maybe? Or wud a knakerd fuse make it not work at all?

P.s its same bumper as this one. Its the blak plastic trim i need to get off, or do the sensors just pop out.

Im not sure on the Pre facelift, but i do know if one sensor fails they all stop working.

yea ive seen the sensors on there. Just not sure how to get the sensor out of the bumper to swop it. Do they prise out, is there a clip behind them etc. Cant order sensor till i know exactly what type it is. Theres a few dif ones.

Im sure there is a clip behind then they push out...will need confirming though.

cool. ill see if i can get my hand behine there then, everyone has probs with one above exhaust which i dont think u can get to, will have to c if i can price that black plastic trim off.
