Its me again,call me a fool but are all the model numbers?? E somthing,are there certain E numbers for certain years and makes?

Could someone tell me mine,i have a 55 plate X5 3.0d sport.

Have a look at the "Date of Build" on the drivers' side inner wing shocker-top !!

Thats where your chassis and model number should be...
