high i have just taken my 520se i 6 cylinder with m52 engine for mot only to find that the co2 level is at 2.49% which is way over i have heard it could be the cat playing up for which i would need a new one or could be the air mass valve ?? can anyone help have any of you had this on urs befor ???

MY CAT was the problem with my E39 which had the exact same engine. VERY expensive repair either way you look at it. Mine was more obvious as the CAT made a crumpling noise under acceleration due to the honey-comb structure inside was mashed up
