Copy Ignition Key?
P.s… the original key might work if you change the battery. The door locks are not linked to the immobiliser or chip. The keys can be synced to the car doors once the battery is replaced. -

The chip can be seen on these pics and its location. This needs to be near the ignition barrel or it won’t be read. the kit from Amazon worked well with mine. I’m sure you can only write to the chips and not rewrite, so it’s a one shot. I programmed it before getting it cut jut in case. -

2009 x5 xdrive 3.0d gear selection problem
Hi I have a couple of problems with my 2009 x5 xdrive. 3.0d first of all. Should I be able to select neutral with the ignition on with engine but not started. Secondly, since I’ve been unable to select different gears or neutral I cannot get my car to start. I’ve changed fuel pump relay as not getting any fuel to fuel rail. Are used to be able to select a neutral with the engine off with this now stop the car starting -
