please help !!! my 2004 x5 has gone into limp mode :angry: , loads of white smoke from exaust,no engine warning lights come on,temp stayed ok! any one any ideas ???

    how much power you lost? i had a similar problem with mine. 2002 diesel sport. more of a flat spot than power loss tho. my crank case breather was overdue a replacement by 30k mile . should be done at 60k.i might be a mile off but once that was done the smoke went and power returned. read my post bout oil blowin out dipstick. hope this helps.

    You need to change your crankcase breather??
