I bought a 2006 X3 which had a Parrot bluetooth system installed (external to dashboard) by the previous owner. It works reasonably well, but is always in the way (gets knocked/broken by passenger) and looks cheap and clunky. I would far prefer to have the bluetooth solution as an integrated part of the entertainment/navigation system, without any external bits and bobs (at least not visible ones anyway).

Does anyone know if this is possible (considering the year/model) and if so, what would be involved? Can I just upgrade/replace the whole system/dash?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure but I think you can get the BT module and it fits in the rear (wiring maybe already there). Ask Christian !!
