Put deposit on her tonight. Just waiting for new insurance docs to come through so I can get tax, so wont be too long till she comes home but im now an 'official' member lol.

Nice. Tax her online if u can?

Unable to as tax gets sent to last owners address,not mine, so I wouldn't want to chance it. I 'll just be patient for RM.

Did you check the roof for leaks and does the roof-motor work without issues?

Yes mate! all working good, and even better he had just given the car a clean up and not a spot of the wet stuff anywhere inside! ;o)

Well happy with her! after looking at a samoa blue one in edgeware the day before with the optional hardtop this baby leaves the samoa blue one standing! and for the same £ !

Couldnt believe how clean the rims were! lol drives perfect, clutch as sweet as, and not a sign of any rust either. A couple of dinks, but u have to look for them to be honest, and for a 14yr old motor shes in top nik.

You can get cleaning kits mate. Autoglym used to do a pack. 1 cleaner and 1 protector. I Always used to keep it topped up with protector when I would wash her.

      Access to Battery terminals on BMW 1 Series 2020

      Hi, Does any one know how to access the Battery terminals on BMW 1 Series 2020, 118I. The battery is in the engine compartment and the red cap is visable, however I want to connections from the battery terminals? Many thanks.

      Rough idle problem

      Hello Dave, Just an update and I think you may be right. Went out and gave it a few revs when cold, nothing. Let it warm up and there was a loud “shoooo”. I’ve attached a photo of where the sound was coming from. Going to get it looked into but do you have any idea of what it could be? First BMW, always had vag cars so engine are a little different to what I’m used to

      Rough idle problem

      Hello Dave thanks for your reply, thanks for the reply and it does sound like that could be the problem. I was thinking injector but never pops an engine light up so wasn’t certain. Was serviced 6500 miles ago but was just oil and filters. Going to check later and see if I can see any visible cracks or splits. Got a friend who has a garage and will obd and smoke test it for me.       E53 petrol fail safe again.

      Morning Stu Long time since I played with a straight six so the old memory might be wonky here so check realoem From memory it is linked to the Air Pump and Vacuum control system. Find the Airpump and follow the Vac lines to the rear of the engine you should find a valve with a plug on top (or end) first make sure all lines are good no splits or cracks check the valve is operating, dont forget there is a non return vale in the system close to the inlet manifold.
