Hi Guys I'm new to this site .I'm driving a 96 e39 2.8 .Just wondered which air filter upgrade you would recommend instead of the original BMW one .Second Question is do they really make a difference .Cheers Lester

As Gav says mate...

K&N and Pipercross do re-washable filters that let that bit more air thru without compromising the cylinders.

They are that bit more expensive as they claim to be a lifetime replacement !

Personally I would ditch the air-box and install an Induction kit (Cone) with a heat shield, it will have a sweet "Roar" as you plant the accelerator and can give back around 5bhp+ if set-up right !!

Im considering it for the 28, any tips/tricks you could suggest? I'm ganna need some tips/tricks considering i'll have to adapt one from a 30 to fit my 28....
