Hi all,I've had my E36 convertible for a while now and recently a few things have started to go wrong???

1st is that i have to keep topping up the rad after a few hundred miles?i've looked at the rad and hoses and all i can see is a trace of water from a seem a few inches below where you top the rad up? and secondly the roof needs assisstance when taking down or putting it up? Just wondered if its a case of thightening some cables under the cover or is it a case of the motor going?

Any help or advice on these matters would be greatful.

Hi Rob... Please introduce yourself in the New Member section buddy...

Roof - Have you tried re-greasing the crucial hinge parts? Otherwise have the motor overhauled at a local Auto-Electrician.

Coolant - If the rad has given way then I would change it as it has done so for a reason, you could try a temp fix using K-Seal (or its bigger brother), 200% more effective than comedy RadWeld ;)
