Hi

Recently acquired BMW 2006 320d manual saloon. The second beamer I've had - previously a 1602 - but that was a long, long time ago. That old fella in the BMW whose going too slow - it could be me. Rich

      Morning John If you are not able to DIY check online for the Register of BMW Specialists most are BMW trained and will have the Tech and Knowledge plus they are normally about half the cost of main Dealers (someone has to pay for the Free Coffee 😁) If you are DIY capable then look online for a BMW capable Diagnostic tool, iCarsoft around £100 and Foxwell there are several around these days. There is also INPA/ISTA which is the same as BMW use you can buy a copy and mount it on a Laptop for around £100 or so. I have INPA/ISTA but a neighbour brought iCarsoft and I have used it it is really a very good tool Good Luck Dave

      Sorry, I can’t open any files… but mine will ding if the temperature is below 5’ as a warning of ice. Maybe it’s set to 10’ in yours?? just a thought

      Hi i have BMW x1 f48 2018 in cold weather up to 10 deq two or three minutes after open the door of the car a noise appears does not matter if engine is on or still off the noise appears for 10 or 20 seconds and disappears I am attaching a recording to give you an idea what noise I mean.       Thank you, Dave, this is just the sort of advice that I'm after and you have summed up the symptom perfectly. I've just been into Halliwell Jones (BMW North Wales) and they're looking for £156 per hour for a diagnosis! So any advice is welcome.

      Hi Chynna Welcome to the Forum What Diagnostic Reader did you use although many readers will give a code they will be general rather than specific A BMW capable Diagnostic reader will normally not just give a code it will also give a description of the fault helping in diagnosing a fault Dave
