The demister IS the aerial, so I would suspect the amplifier is at fault... Maybe a wiring fault !!

Or does your motor have the shark-fin? Even if it does, it is combined !

Happens on a lot of BMWs, not sure the demister is the airel, but the airel and demister give out the same frequency and interfere with each other.

cheers for the replies , i'm gonna have a go at uncovering the amp to see if there's anything obvious .
