hi all...my 2002 3.0d x5 has started displaying "check rear foglights", when i turn on the ignition.....it goes away after a few seconds....then when i turn the ignition off it does it again.....any ideas anyone?...thanks

have u checked that they are workin ? simple answers always sound silly but its a warning that there is something wrong with the lights ie bulbs or if bulbs are ok try the wiring give it a wriggle

I have a similar issue with my rears too, but I know it's the LCM at fault... Yours will not be the LCM or you would have a melee of lighting faults on your dash !!

Best idea is to check that the common earths are tight (small black connection boxes terminated to the body)... Maybe the bulb wattages, and the condition of the bulb-holders.

Just an idea ;)
