Hi all.

Yesterday I tried to get off my drive but after about 15 minuets and only moving back about 2ft and sideways 3ft gave up. I tried everything apart from getting my family to sit in the boot. I was so fedup I went straight online and ordered some snow socks.

My question is, has anyone tried these and are they any good? I was told to buy some winter tyres but they are expensive and as I only need to drive a couple of hundred yards to get to clear/gritted roads can't see the point.

Should have done some research online first I know but as I was !Removed! off I just ordered some. I will also get some bags of road salt from work to weigh the back down and to grit my drive with when it freezes. This should atleast get me off the drive.

Many thanks

Jason

Being honest, they really are not that bad at all, they are designed to “get you home”, much easier than chains, less damaged caused. However I am a BMW lover and I admit defeat in the snow, Big RWD cars are a challenge in the snow and do struggle with the hills!

However this year has proved the highways agency has got it right, once your on the main roads, no problems.

Try living on a hill!

Thank you for the reply. I should have them by tomorrow. Just as the snow is clearing lol. Oh well, I will keep them in the boot for next time.

Thanks again
