Hi all, last weekend I had a warning light that came on, it was an amber triangle with a circular arrow around it. I referred to the owners manual and it said that it was still driveable but needed to be looked at and that it was something to do with the braking system. Now, during the last MoT I was given an advisory to change the pads, which I did a couple of days ago and the sensors. The light remains on. Assuming that this was the problem, do I need to take it to a garage to be reset, or, when I spoke to a BMW specialist (not dealer) he said that it could be the servo. When he told me that BMW would suggest a new servo at a cost of around £1600 I nearly fainted, however he said replacement parts would be around £200.

Has anyone else come across this problem? If so can it be done by a fairly confident DIY mechanic?

Your help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
