I have been considering buying either m3 alloys or maybe even m5. I have had mixed answers from people selling some so I'm hoping someone can tell me, will either of these alloys fit my 99 e46? Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated x

Hi Kat

some info on fittments

3 Series E46 98>05 5x120 30-45 195/65/15 205/55/16 225/45/17 225/40/18 235/35/19 225/30/20

Optional Rear Upstep 255/35/18* 265/30/19*

I have 225/40/18 on mine, front an rear lowered -75mm and only get front arch rub under full lock coupled with a bump.

May need to space and camber if you go any more extreme though

I've just got some 225/40/18 M Sport alloys for my 320 coupe (51plate). They all fit fine (no touching when straight or full lock) but when i drive in a straight line even at low speed, theres an obvious clunk sound from the front two...sounds like metal on metal and once a turn (not rubbing constantly), I've looked all around the wheel and cant see ANY contact between wheel and arch/disc etc. Any ideas would be brill!
