Two days ago, my battery required a boost for reasons unbeknownst to me. To use the jumper cables and access the battery, I had to lift up the reversable cover of the battery/tire jack compartment in the cargo area. To my surprise, the battery well was half-filled with water. I also noticed that the area where the tools and owners manuals are stored was soaked, rusting my tools and ruining my manuals. No areas in the car's interior, other than the two mentioned, were wet. I used a wet/dry vaccum to pull the water out and let air dry. This afternoon it rained, and now I have more water in both areas. Does anyone have an idea from where the water is coming and why it would start doing this? The X3 has not been involved in an accident or been abused. There are no signs of leakage in the roof/ceiling. Any help would be appreciated, enormously. PRK
