Hello,

Just signing in as a new 330d saloon 2002 owner running on 18's.

I 've already started to make a shopping list of things I want to do and buy for it.

1. Urgently need a spare wheel for the boots mine is missing - where can I get on from?

2. Short shifter kit - b&m maybe?

3. Remap

as snypa says above and ebay for the others worth atry, trying to think where i got the volvo re mapped when it comes tome i will post

I have heard good things abut Celitic Tuning as well, offering pretty good bhp and torque increases from standard.

There are quite a few companies offering remap services and it can be difficult to pick one as some have used this one and some that one...

      Access to Battery terminals on BMW 1 Series 2020

      Hi, Does any one know how to access the Battery terminals on BMW 1 Series 2020, 118I. The battery is in the engine compartment and the red cap is visable, however I want to connections from the battery terminals? Many thanks.

      Rough idle problem

      Hello Dave, Just an update and I think you may be right. Went out and gave it a few revs when cold, nothing. Let it warm up and there was a loud “shoooo”. I’ve attached a photo of where the sound was coming from. Going to get it looked into but do you have any idea of what it could be? First BMW, always had vag cars so engine are a little different to what I’m used to

      Rough idle problem

      Hello Dave thanks for your reply, thanks for the reply and it does sound like that could be the problem. I was thinking injector but never pops an engine light up so wasn’t certain. Was serviced 6500 miles ago but was just oil and filters. Going to check later and see if I can see any visible cracks or splits. Got a friend who has a garage and will obd and smoke test it for me.       E53 petrol fail safe again.

      Morning Stu Long time since I played with a straight six so the old memory might be wonky here so check realoem From memory it is linked to the Air Pump and Vacuum control system. Find the Airpump and follow the Vac lines to the rear of the engine you should find a valve with a plug on top (or end) first make sure all lines are good no splits or cracks check the valve is operating, dont forget there is a non return vale in the system close to the inlet manifold.
