Arnold clark "serviced" my car and asked if i would like some additional components done. I said ok what are the additional components. They said the Air, Pollen and Fuel Filters. So i said What did you do in the service? They said we done an oil change. Thats not a service lol

Anyway They quoted me £250 for the parts fitted.

I was wondering. What do these parts cost from BMW? I looked on euro car parts as a guide and the dearest option (non performance) for all 3 is £70. I was thinking of sticking in a K&N Air filter instead of a standard one. The cost of a K&N is £40-£50. So if a BMW is similarly priced or dearer then its a no brainer get the K&N.

I also have white powdery stuff coming in the vents i have had since i got the car last year. Possible pollen filter breaking up? What are my options with them?

The air and Pollen filters are easy to change im not sure about the diesel filter so ill get someone who knows what they are doing for that.

Good thinking!!

What I am going to do actually buying break pads (front & Rear) and all kinds of filters from the internet to be done by one of the local garages, except for oil filter as this can will be done with reasonable price and oil change in National Tyres.

Tell how does it sound?
