Strange question, but when I switch on my headlights, the instrument backlights come on, but I don't have any other indication the headlights are on other than getting out the car and checking myself. The owners manual dosn't really show where a headlight indicator would be.

Is this normal?

That's normal mate, that's just how you know they're on, that and the fact that you can now visibily see in front of you! ;)

Normal.

Some cars have a green headlight LED to indicate your lights are on followed by a blue one to indicate full beams. You shouldn't have to be told that your lights are on and if you are having to get out of your car to check, I would imagine you are using your lights at the wrong time of day
