as above has anyone done there own repairs to the front wings due to rust ?

i have this problem on my e46 and am thinking i may give it a go.

how did you find doing the repair your self and what products did you use

i think you can buy something to stop the rust.i forget what its called though.then i guess it needs to be sanded and filled and sanded and filled.halfords do a paint matching service that they put into an aerosol for you.then you will need some laquer.i think it would be fairly straight forward but the finish wont be as good as a proffesional spray booth.worth a go though
