Hi Guys,

I've had a good look around the forum to see if I can find the answer but to no avail. My son has a 320D E46 and his heater plug light comes on intermittentley and can run sluggish as a result but then goes off and is ok. We replaced the plugs but the problem persists, can anyone give us some advice?

Just to note that we use biodiesel as a blend and he mixes 50/50 bio and diesel, I make it myself and am paranoid about the quality of the fuel. I also run an Audi 20 TDI 70/30 bio/diesel with no problems at all.

TBH Biodiesel is an epic fail on newer motors (especially with the electric fuel pumps)... The engine mangement will be confused...

Try a full service as the fuel filter will be taking the full brunt of that shite !

HTH

(After the service, nip to Tesco and get mucho Sunflower/Rapeseed oil) LOL

Thanks

this started after a service and the fuel filter had just been changed, thanks anyway. Mechanics tend to blame anything on biodiesel to be honest including worn windscreen wipers
