hi was just wondering my 318is comes with a alarm but should it have a key fob ?? im unlocking and locking with the key in the lock at the mo.

done lots of work on my old subaru legacy but this is my first bmw

well you should have a keyfob. The transponder for the ignition will be ok the key.. but to activate the alarm you will need a fob.

Give my mate Paul a ring on 07891 00 36 36, tell him I sent you,he breaks e36/e46 BMWs fr a living so always has plenty of fobs hanging about :)
