Any OBD2 compliant reader will do the trick.

there are expensive ones by snap-on aaaaand there is cheap ones like mine that cost 30 knicka :P Same result at the end of the day...

thanks just brought bmw lead and software for 23.99 says its a bmw lead and does all codes

Ahhh the laptop jobbie. Yeah that will work great mate.

Yep I have two versions of the lap top software and leads, both are great and to be honest all we want it to do is tell us the fault and turn the stupid light out!
