Any help/advice would help and be greatly appreciated...thanks matt

Hi Matt

The is is a cracking car! Give the old gal a service first, then report back on the miss fire!

Did the fuel gauge work then stop? Or never work?

Welcome to BMWOC :)

Misfire could be plugs or a dodgy coil pack, the heater is more than likely the 'hedgehog' resistor, and fuel gauge is probably a fuse blown ????

Snypa and Ian covered it mate

Get the is in for a service and see if it changes anything

A blown fuse wouldn't cause it.

Where is the misfire? Is it noticeable on idle or higher revs?

As it is a four-potter it would be hard to eliminate a coil-pack by just pulling off but bang a high-voltage meter across "Earth" and its "Low tension" feed and notice any shortfall...

... Other items to inspect are:

MAF

TPS

CPS

... And any air-leaks via intake hoses.

Good luck ;)
