Hi There

I'm a new member and I currently have an E36 and later today if I haven't died of excitement I'll have an E34 525 TDS. I know that many of you have far greater, better and probably shinier cars than me ... but I'm just really starting to enjoy having older German cars. My first older German car was a 1987 e190 Merc. It was a lovely black and chrome head turner. It was a pleasure to drive as it glided. People used to ask if I was trying to drive like a chauffeur or if it was the car. I have to say although I’m good, it was the car.

We parted because I took some work away for about a year and a half so I gave it to a musician friend who was down on his luck. I thought he could claim the tax and sell it on. He however, just messed about with his Toyota Celica thing and left it to rust and when I got home he scrapped it! I thought that was sad and he VERY BAD! Anyway, I then had a horrid Honda for a year and then bought my current E36. The E36 has been a pleasure to drive and has never let me down, not even once. I am parting company as I paid to have some rust fixed, took it back five times as bubbles appeared under the paint straight away and anyway, they ground me down and I just kept it with rust. This current E36 is a fantastic runner it’s just that her body is scabby and scrappy, so she is being gifted to a friend who is a badly paid charity worker. She isn’t getting the tax though just a solid car with a full service history.

I’m hoping I did buy a good un and I hope my next car will be either an E30 or and E28 or if stumble across a large pile of spare money something beautiful and 70s with lots of chrome and leather.

Anyway, I think if you’re still reading you need to stop now!

Write and tell you what it’s like soon.

Hey Sarah, Welcome to our community =]

Lovely motor collection. I've had an E34 and love them! The TDs is sorted after these days as it's a real work-horse
