Hi guys,

I have a slight idle problem with my compact again, I have changed the oil, the gearbox fluid, the rocker cover gasket, the head gasket, the lambda sensor, and checked all hoses on the car as well as cleaned the ICV and while it has improved the idle the car still occasionally does a bit of a chug (as though it is going to cut out????)

Does anyone have any ideas?? I am now at a total loss and seriously considering just buying a donor car and using its engine and gearbox

Hmmm have you run a reader on the Ecu?

Looked into possible MAF problem?

I have cleaned the MAF and not done a ECU reader on it, can I just clean the throttle body or does it need a new one?

You can clean the throttle body. Check the TPS whilst your at it bud
