If a 00 e46 320d if only bought it a few weeks ago iv noticed that from time to time the brake lights stay on and the only way to turn them off is to turn the car off then back on!! Anybody got an idea what this could be

Faulty pedal-switch?

Could even be the pedal itself not returning fully !! Happened to a few E38's on here ;)

More than likely switch as above, but I find it odd if they stay off when ignition is turned back on.

Check inside light cluster for corrosion, could be sending odd signal along canbus to ecu
