Dashboard lights failure
Hi all. E53 2002 has decided to throw a tantrum again. firstly, the intermittent wiper has stopped wiping… all other settings are fine. secondly, the headlight symbol has disappeared from the dash… the blue full beam one comes on when active, but not the normal or dipped one. All external lights are fine and working correctly. -

Thank you Dave for your response, I will check, but I believe the GO1 model comes with LED headlights as standard, I was wondering if there was an adjustment that could be made via the settings to raise the aim of the headlights? -

Morning Owen Welcome to the Forum First thing to establish is whether your headliamps are Halogen or HID, next what condition are the Headlamp lens's in and the simplist thing last beside the headlamp switch do you have a headlamp aim roller switch if so try moving the setting. If your headlamps are Halogen then a simple bulb upgrade can make things better (Osram Night Breaker are good) if you fit LED bulbs take care as they can be an MOT fail. Also the headlamp lens must be clean and clear as they are Polycarbonate they do tend become cloudy. They can be polished and cleaned that also makes a big difference. Dave -

Hi, I am new to BMW, I have had my X3 for about a month and when driving at night particularly country roads, the headlights don't light up the road very far in front of me, maybe 10 to 15 metres, so when approaching bend etc I don't see them in enough time to slow down, also just don't seem to see very far in front of me. Is it possible to adjust the headlight so that it lights up further? -

X1 recall
Our new X1 has been recalled for the pillar problem. The dealer had it back 3 weeks ago, it was only 2 months old, and despite calling BMW in London and our dealer none of them can tell us what is going to happen and if we will get it back or when! Anyone else have this problem?
