Does the airbag warning light cause a failure of an MOT? As last year it was but at last minute the law changed by a few months so my light was on but it still passed the MOT I was just wondering what the state of play is as of right now as my MOT Is due now!

Yes it is part of the safety system i.e. Seatbelts etc... However, some testers will let it "ride" as it has become a common issue on many makes of car and no bugger is rushing to find a better solution !!

Take the bulb out... Shhhh !

Do you know why the light is on?

Have the seat(s) been disconnected at some point?

The fault usually lies with the Occupancy sensor in the front passenger seat... Many, many topics here about it and how to solve !
