  1. Hi John.... I think he means like if you softly run your fingers over each button it’ll show what shortcut has been assigned to each button.. just softly without pushing button in.... let’s say you want radio 1 set for button 1.... tune your radio into radio 1 and then keep button 1 pushed until you see a message on Idrive screen saying “saved shortcut” ... then maybe you want the navigation option on button 5.. again open up navigation and then push and hold button 5 until you again see the message appear on screen... they will then be saved... try it and go into another radio station then push button 1 and it should change to radio 1 or whatever you set... hope that helps mate russ

  2. Thanks Richard but perhaps a more detailed explanation would help please. You say "Hold the appropriate button" but which one does what? A set-up step by step would be much appreciated. Thanks, John

  3. I'm not sure of European requirements for emissions, but if your car has a functioning DPF and SCR system and no mechanical failures the tips on your exhaust pipes should be incredibly clean no matter what you dump into the fuel tank. I worked for a company with 300 diesel powered (80,000 pound GVWR) trucks, the only time the exhaust tips got dirty after SCR and DPF was introduced was if a turbo failed and overloaded the DPF. We never put anything in the tanks other than #1 or #2 ULSD diesel fuel, depending on the weather. We even had a Volvo rep come check the VN370 tractors with a machine to test emissions - the results were the exhaust was not only cleaner than the air going into the air intake, it contained enough oxygen that you could breathe it. Increased Cetane levels and cleaner injectors - always good though

  4. Morning Antonio From a little reading it seems the Adblue tank on your car hold 17litres 😲 how much are you putting in? My money is on a reset being needed again from reading refill turn on the ignition (do not start the car) 30 secs minimum then off and start, or I seem to remember there being a recall for the Adblue systems ?? Then again it may just be my old brain failing and needing a reset?

  5. In the meantime I refilled the ADBlue depo, hoping that it could help stopping the warning.. It didn't stop 😞 The warning in on after driving 40 ou 50 miles. After I turn off and start again, the warning goes away. This is really a mistery for me, I cant get rid of it. I am still hoping that someone went through a similar situation and can help me. Thank you

  6. Hi Antonio Your hand book should give some information, though like oil there must be some leeway for top up/refill while "on the road" it can't always be done at a dealer. Unless BMW have a reset some where that tells the system the tank has been refilled ?? As said I have no Adblue experience so thinking out loud here Dave
